Recently acquiring the rights for the format, TV Azteca hosted "La Voz", based on the widely successful "The Voice" reality show singing competition.
The show included Belinda, Ricardo Montaner, Lupillo Rivera, and Yahir as coaches, Ximena "La Choco" as host, and most of the production team returning from previous editions of show in Mexico, including Joan Ramagosa leading music production once again.
I was invited by my former vocal coach Gret Rocha (and vocal coach for the show) to audition for the show with on of the songs she coached me years before and that she was sure will get me through. I was picked up as part of Team Yahir, lasting until the Knockout rounds.
During the time spent in the show, I had the opportunity to work with producers, musical directors, vocal coaches (including working once again with Gret), and my team coach. I experienced first hand the fast pace and precision of a professional televised show, and learnt how to perform the best under pressure.
